About us

We love listening to podcasts, but we’re frustrated by how much we forget from them. Our typical podcast journey looks like this:

1. Day 1: Enlightenment. We listen to podcasts, captivated by facts and ideas we’d love to remember.
2. Later in Day 1: The Knowledge High. Connections with other ideas spark, we start to imagine the conversations our new insights will fuel, etc.
3. Days 2-30: The Fog. Details start blurring. We become hesitant to mention the podcast in conversations, conscious of our shaky retention.
4. Days 30+: Oblivion. We find ourselves saying, “I listened to a podcast about this once, but I can’t remember the details…” Eventually, we forget what we’ve forgotten.

We're building Retainit because we believe that remembering what we learn from podcasts should be a choice, not a challenge. We also believe memory augmentation tools have extraordinary potential to help people connect more deeply with that which gives their lives meaning.

Retainit combines our passions for podcasts, memory systems, and gaming. We're a small team working remotely across Europe with extensive experience in building software and designing highly personalised learning experiences.
